A palace, in Coorparoo.
QASR, Coorparoo. The name is Arabic for palace, and the residence is a showcase of Arabic-inspired architecture in Brisbane's inner east: bold geometric forms, a dramatic arched timber entry, curved facades and signature breezeblock screens that filter the light.
Warm, earthy tones are layered with sculptural forms. Natural stone is laid in a crazy-pave pattern, natural marble runs through the kitchen and bar, and custom bronze accents and considered lighting carry the drama from the arrival to the private retreats.
The bedrooms occupy their own wing, each with its ensuite, with a retreat and cinema between them and a basement garage of rare scale beneath. Outside, resort living: the pool, the cabanas, an outdoor shower and a sunken firepit.
Architectural distinction, refined materials and unforgettable presence.
